There are literally thousands of magazines published every month, only the high quality and good ones make it mainstream. The quote “A picture is worth a thousand words” and “First impression is the best impression” apply greatly to magazines. It is the covers of these magazines that creates the impulse, that uncontrollable urge to grab hold of the magazine and flip it open.

The following is a list of some 35+ magazine covers that will truly instill the urge in a person to pick up a copy. These covers are not only creative, but also inspiring. But I won’t spoil it for you, you be the judge.

Computer Arts is one of the world’s best-selling magazine for digital artists, designers, illustrators, etc. With in-depth tutorials, and interviews, the magazine remains a favorite among designers.

Lettering & Type is a powerful and essential how-to book full of relevant theories, history, diagrams and excersies regarding typeface designs and typography.

PAGE Magazine is created by creative professional people in design, advertising, and media supplies. Not only do they show portfolios of some great artists, they also talk about different fields of art, such as architecture, 3D, and many more.

WebDesign HS7 is a magazine by Mathieu Schatzler, who is a graphic designer & art director from Lille, France. Mathieu has worked on branding & rebranding concepts, along with some high-quality illustrations. This magazine is all about that.

WOW Magazine (now WOWMAGZ) is a free electronic/digital graphic design magazine that supports designers and creative communities around the world by shining a spotlight on them. Showcasing the greatest Artwork in Digital Art, Photography, Illustration, 3D arts, Motion Graphic and more.

GOOD Magazine is a collaboration between individual parties, such as businesses, moms, kids, organizations, etc that work together to find what is good, prosperous and creative.

Pixel Arts is a magazine that is all about creativity in best animation works, cartoons, motion graphics and tv design. It is a company located in Romania.

The Red Bulletin is a Formula One magazine by Red Bull. The magazine covers the world of Formula One, especially the Red Bull world, events and happenings related to them.

The Walrus magazine was launched with a simple aim: to be a national general interest magazine about Canada and its place in the world. Ever since, The Walrus Magazine has started becoming ‘a little’ popular day by day.

Gazele Biznesu is a business-oriented magazine that gives out an annual ranking for developing small and medium businesses. The project is run jointly by nine newspapers belonging to Bonnier Publishing Group, based in Poland.

How to Clear Messages Chat History [Quicktip]

If you have already tested the new Messages for Mountain Lion, then you would probably notice that there is no option to delete your chat history from the chat window. Yes, you may be able to perform ‘Clear Transcript’, but when the Messages are reopened, the transcript will reappear like it was never deleted in the first place.

This is most probably a bug (since Messages is still in its Beta phase) that will definitely be fixed eventually, but until then, there is a surefire way to clear your chat transcript from your Mac. This quick guide will show you simple steps you can take to clear your Messages chat transcript from Mac by deleting the chat transcript file from the iChats folder.

To delete your Message chat transcript, open your Finder window and click on ‘Documents’.

In your Documents folder, you will notice that there is a folder called ‘iChats’, click on it and you will see a number of subfolders labeled with dates. This is where your chat transcripts are kept.

Open the folder to check your transcript, and delete the files there to totally remove your chat history.

To complete the process, empty your recycle bin to permanently remove the chat history.

We have tried several ways to clear chat transcripts via the ‘Clear Transcript’ command as well as going through the ‘hidden folder’ options, but in the end it is the deletion of these iChat files that does the best job in clearing your chat history in Messages Beta.

5 Must-Know Facebook Timeline Tips/Tricks

Have you embraced the changes? The new Facebook Timeline lets you change the way your entire life is showcased over the Internet – in the form of colorful scrapbook, with highlights to enhance excitement and emotional feelings. There are those of you who have embraced the changes and loved it and then there are also those who haven’t really gotten into the full experience yet.

In this article, we’ll share with you some tips and tricks to help you configure your Facebook Timeline and exercise your full control over your personal information. Maybe then, some of you will be convinced that the Timeline isn’t all that bad after all.

There are 2 sides of your timeline on Facebook, your life stories, and updates; this makes your featured photos cramped in half. To feature your favorite photos or any stories and updates page-wide, hover over the top of the story section and click on the ‘star’ button that says ‘Highlight’.

Once the ‘Star’ button is clicked, you will see that your photo is now featured page-wide like this one.

To remove highlight, simply click on the ‘Star’ button again.

We have plenty of stories of our past. With Facebook Timeline, you can update not only your ongoing life events, but also stories and updates from any past date on your timeline.

To do this, mouse hover on any part of the long line that represents your timeline and you will see a ‘Plus’ button appear. Click on that button.

You will be given options to update status, photos, places as well as other life events. Pick any one from the list and fill up the details.

When updating the status, it will stay on the date where you place them on your timeline, but your friends will still be able to see the updates on Facebook Wall, unless you share them only to yourself;

In case there are stories you want to hide from your Timeline, you can click on the ‘Edit or Remove’ button on the top right corner of your status box, and select ‘Hide from Timeline’.

Once hidden, you will get a notification, with an ‘Undo’ button, should you decide to unhide.

Facebook has made it possible for you to show different stories to different people, and to check ‘who’ can see ‘what’ on your timeline. Click on the dropdown menu at the top right just below your cover image, and then click ‘View As’.

By default, you will now see your timeline viewable by the public. Now enter your facebook friend’s name in the box, to preview what they can see in your timeline.

If you do a lot of scrolling down to your timeline’s end, you will notice that not all of your stories will be showcased, not that it is hidden either. When you see a blue dot along the horizontal timeline, click on it to see option, and then click on the notes to showcase all stories that are kept in the blue dot.

Now that you know you can add stories to your timeline, from any date and time, you may start to wonder how to check when a story was added to your timeline. Simple enough, you can click on the ‘Activity Log’ button that’s available at the top right corner of your timeline, again, just below your cover photo.

Now you will be presented with a timeline of your every activity on facebook e.g. what did you do or change or add on what date.

With these extra tips, you will be able to fully customize your Facebook Timeline following your preference, set who can see what, review your activity log, add and remove contents as well as set a featured stories or life events.
